Swanky & Savory Caramelized Brie Bread with Sweet Onions
Prep & cook time: 40 mins. (8 servings)
YOUR LOCAL FRESH SHOPPING LIST:
♦ 8 oz. Brie Cheese
♦ 2 T. (1/2 packet) Spitfire Gourmet Swanky & Savory
♦ 2 small Vidalia (sweet) Onions
♦ 1 can Crescent Rolls
1. Slice 2 Sweet Onions thin, and saute in 2 T. Butter until slightly brown. Add 1/2 cup water & cook on low until golden, stirring constantly (about 15 mins). Mix in 2 T. (1/2 packet) Spitfire Gourmet Swanky & Savory.
2. Roll 1 can Crescent Rolls onto flat surface, and cut into two 12” squares. Place one square on an oven safe platter, sealing seams. Slice 8 oz. Brie Cheese in half (like a burger bun) and put the bottom half in the middle of the crescent square. Heap the onion mixture on top of the brie. Put the top half of the brie on the onions, and wrap the remaining dough up around the brie to seal (using the other half of the dough as needed to “patch” any openings.
3. Baste top with Butter, and bake at 350º for 20 mins.
4. Cool, cut, and serve.
